Tim Hunt and Pat Nolan are both American poets, authors, and literary figures associated with independent publishing, mid-century literary scholarship, and the West Coast poetry scene.

They share a distinct connection through their work on American literature—particularly the Beat Generation—and have actively supported each other's literary endeavors.

Tim Hunt’s poetry draws on the non-urban West and might be described as a search for a usable present. He is the author of seven collections, most recently Then Back Again to Now (Broadstone Books). Recognitions include the Main Street Rag Poetry Book Award for his 2018 collection Ticket Stubs & Liner Notes, six Pushcart Prize Nominations, and the Chester H. Jones National Poetry Award for “Lake County Diamond.” He has been a finalist or semifinalist for The Sexton Prize for Poetry, The Richard Snyder Publication Prize, the May Swenson Poetry Award, the Frederick Morgan Poetry Prize, the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize, Off the Grid Prize, the Saint Lawrence Book Award, the Holland Prize, the Able Muse Book Award, the Washington Prize, and the Cleveland State University Poetry Center First Book Prize. His critical work includes two studies of Jack Kerouac (Kerouac’s Crooked Road: Development of a Fiction and The Textuality of Soulwork: Kerouac’s Quest for Spontaneous Prose) and the five volumes of The Collected Poetry of Robinson Jeffers. Originally from Sebastopol, he concluded his teaching career at Illinois State University where he was University Professor of English and now lives in Normal, Illinois with its vistas of cornfields and soy beans.

Pat Nolan, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1943, has lived most of his adult life along the Russian River in Northern California. He is a poet, translator, editor, and publisher. His poetry and prose have been published in numerous magazines, among them Rolling Stone, The Paris Review, Big Bridge, New Magazine, The American Book Review, Otolith, Poetry Flash, and Exquisite Corpse as well as in literary magazines in Europe and Asia. His work has also appeared in various anthologies including UP LATE, Thus Spake The Corpse, Out Of This World, More Poetry Comics, and Saints of Hysteria.
