Nationally acclaimed poets Barbara Henning and Maureen Owen will be reading at NBLA on the final leg of their cross country reading tour from NYC to the Bay Area.

Maureen Owen, former editor/publisher of Telephone Magazine and Telephone Books, is the author of eleven books of poetry, most recently Edges of Water (2013) from Chax Press. She served as program coordinator at The St. Mark’s Poetry Project in New York City in the late 70’s and has taught in the poetics program at Naropa University.  

Barbara Henning is the author of four novels, seven collections of poetry, four chapbooks and a series of photo-poem pamphlets. She has taught for the University of Arizona and for the Poetry Center, serving on the board of the literary group POG and Chax Press. Henning is the editor of a book of interviews, Looking Up Harryette Mullen (Belladonna, 2011), and The Selected Prose of Bobbie Louise Hawkins (Blazevox, 2012).
