How can straightforward folding (although admittedly quite a lot of folds!) create such a pleasing twister? In this workshop we’ll first look at several examples of this folded structure and investigate its mechanics. Each student will typeset and print a quote, a short poem or haiku, or a brief prose text, up to about 25 words. We’ll end the day by folding as many as time permits. Students will be provided with folding and spiralling instructions. Everyone takes home 10 copies of their own work, plus one from each of the other participants.
$15 materials fee to be paid to instructor on day of workshop.
